HOW RETAILERIN HELPED A SUPERMARKET TO BEST MANAGE THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD
This case study reports on how RetailerIN in-store analytics technology has been used to analyse a grocery store under Christmas holidays. The supermarket was looking for a measurable way to analyse how foot traffic and customer behaviour changed during the Christmas period and receive data-driven support in order to take operational decisions.
CHALLENGE AND OPPORTUNITY
The focus of the study has been on: (i) asset preference (baskets versus carts) and asset preference by hour; (ii) dwell time in-store and (iii) most visited areas. The study was carried out over four weeks, from November 27th to December 24th.
